Andy is a highly experienced and well-established Consultant ENT Surgeon with a special interest in thyroid and head & neck surgery. He runs his private practice across Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire area. He also works as an NHS Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Royal United Hospital, NHS Trust in Bath. He is currently Clinical Lead for ENT Surgery in Bath, having previously been Clinical Lead at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. He has over 17 years experience, including 9 years since his initial appointment as a Consultant. Having established himself in Swindon, he then sought out a new opportunity to move his career and family to Bath. He has been awarded a Clinical Excellence Award.
After graduating and junior training jobs in Manchester, he moved back to his native Bristol. His specialist ENT training was in the South West (Bristol, Plymouth and Cornwall). At the end of his training he was selected via competitive global applications to a prestigious, dedicated fellowship in advanced head and neck cancer resection surgery. This was at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.
He has s specialist interest in thyroid, parathyroid and neck lump surgery. He offers general ENT operations such as tonsil, adenoid, nasal polyp, sinus and nasal septum surgery. He consultants on all matters of general ENT, and will recommend the most appropriate colleague to perform any surgeries he does not do himself.
Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family (including his fluffy lap dog), sport (running and squash) and watching rugby. Despite working in Bath, he is a committed Bears fan.
