Consultant Rhinologist & Anterior Skull Base Surgeon

 

Louise Melia is a Consultant ENT Surgeon with subspecialist expertise in rhinology and anterior skull base surgery. She completed advanced fellowship training in complex sinus and skull base surgery and has developed a practice focused on precision endoscopic techniques and multidisciplinary care.

 

She is a Consultant at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, where she delivers advanced rhinology services, and works as part of the regional anterior skull base team at North Bristol NHS Trust. Her clinical practice includes complex and revision endoscopic sinus surgery, advanced frontal sinus procedures, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak repair, and the management of benign and malignant sinonasal and anterior skull base tumours.

She works within established skull base, pituitary and head & neck multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists and maxillofacial surgeons to provide coordinated, specialist care for complex conditions.
